Nocturne Editor's Review

Nocturne is a simple application that switches your normal computer view to night-mode.

Nocturne is one of the applications I like to name "cool", you'll never know you need it until you use one.

When you use 'Nocturne', the text becomes white and the background black. If you don't like the "inverted" colors, the software gives you a possibility to create your own 'Nocturne' colors mode. It also includes features like hiding the desktop, disable shadows and adjust screen brightness. You can work during night without having screen light in your room. Nocturne also won't affect screenshots. If you own a MacBook, lowering the brightness and using less colors might increase battery runtime.

Pluses: It adds a cool view to your Mac and some of you will find it great for reading and working at night.

Drawbacks / flaws: a cropping mode to view pictures without the 'Nocturne' influence would be nice. The 'shadow disable' option doesn't work.

In conclusion: if you are tired off all the white or shiny colors you can try inverting them.
